Host a Screening
Gather people around the question beneath every pursuit.
Some films are watched alone. Others are made to be discussed.
DeINCEPTION: The Great Aha! What Is Happiness? is a philosophical documentary about the false maps of happiness that shape modern life. It asks whether the happiness we were taught to pursue is true enough to live by.
What idea of happiness is governing our lives?
Why Host This Film?
Most people are already pursuing happiness. The question is whether they understand what they are pursuing.
DeINCEPTION gives a group a way to examine the idea of happiness behind success, comfort, suffering, freedom, ambition, motivation, and the good life.
It is not a light entertainment piece. It is a film made to provoke reflection.
- What have we mistaken for happiness?
- What kind of life are we encouraging people to chase?
- What happens when comfort is treated as the highest good?
- What map of happiness are our families, schools, organisations, churches, and communities passing on?
The film gives language to a question many people already carry but rarely say aloud.
Who Can Host?
DeINCEPTION can be hosted by any group willing to ask the question of happiness with care.

Screening Formats
Choose the format that best suits your audience.
DeINCEPTION can be hosted in person, online, on demand for a limited event window, or in a hybrid format.
The format can be simple or more formal depending on your audience, venue, and purpose.
Format 01
In-Person Screening
Host the film in a school, church, university, community hall, workplace, private venue, cinema, or theatre.
For cinema or theatre screenings, a DCP format may be available on request.
Format 02
Live Virtual Screening
Bring your audience together online in real time through a coordinated virtual screening.
This works well for distributed communities, online groups, and organisations whose members cannot gather in one location.
Format 03
Event VOD Screening
Offer your audience a limited viewing window so they can watch the film on demand within the timeframe you set.
This is useful when your group needs flexibility but still wants to participate in a shared event or follow-up session.
Format 04
Hybrid Screening
Gather one audience in person while also allowing an online audience to participate.
A hybrid screening can extend the reach of your event while preserving the experience of a shared gathering.
What a Screening Can Become
Watch the film. Discuss it. Let the question do its work.
Depending on the room, a screening may become a community discussion, university seminar, church formation night, leadership reflection session, school wellbeing event, counselling workshop, public forum, or fundraiser.
The format can vary. The question remains:
What kind of happiness is worthy of a human life?

Screening Costs
Screening costs depend on the format, audience size, and event type.
The aim is to keep screenings accessible while protecting the work required to create and distribute the film.
Options may include ticketed screenings through our platform, independent ticketing, free community events, cinema screenings, or hardship arrangements where appropriate.
Ticketed Screening Through Our Platform
There is no upfront screening fee. Your audience purchases tickets through the event page, and revenue is shared between the host, the film, and the platform.
This can work well for fundraising events or groups that want ticketing handled through the screening platform.
Independent Ticketing or Free Community Event
If you prefer to manage ticketing yourself, or offer the event free to your audience, a one-time licensing fee may apply.
This works well for schools, churches, nonprofits, community organisations, and private groups that want more control over their event.
Cinema or Theatre Screening
For cinema or theatre screenings, a DCP file may be provided. Licensing begins at a higher level and is scaled according to audience size and event requirements.
Financial Hardship
If cost would prevent your community from hosting a screening, please reach out.
The film was made to be used, not only watched. Where there is genuine hardship, we are open to finding a workable path.
What We Need From You
This helps us understand the room you are gathering.
To review your screening request, we will ask for your name, email address, organisation or affiliation, website if available, estimated audience size, preferred screening type, desired date, and a short introduction.
These details help us confirm the right screening format and respond with appropriate next steps.
Apply to Host a Screening
Tell us who you are, who you want to gather, and what kind of event you are hoping to host.
Once your request is received, we will review the details and respond with next steps.
For Groups That Want More Than Entertainment
DeINCEPTION asks people to examine happiness as a map.
- A map of desire.
- A map of meaning.
- A map of freedom.
- A map of the good life.
When people watch the film together, they are not only watching John Angheli’s journey through accident, wilderness, and philosophical inquiry.
They are being invited to examine the map their own lives have been following.
Bring the Question Into the Room
Every school, church, organisation, family, business, and community is already passing on some idea of happiness.
The question is whether that idea is true.
Host DeINCEPTION and gather people around a question that success, comfort, ambition, distraction, and self-improvement often fail to answer.
What is happiness? What map have we been following? And what would it mean to exit the dream?
